Before you start, consider this....
Think about it for a minute - after all the heart and effort you put into your special event, you are going to have a room full of a hundred or more people with nothing to do but what you provide for them. Nothing will kill an event faster than all those people getting bored and restless. You need to keep them entertained and that's were a good DJ/KJ can make or break your special day.

Don't make the mistake of viewing DJs and entertainment companies as a commodity and just looking for the lowest price that is available. We hear far too many disaster stories of DJ/entertainment companies on a daily basis from potential clientele. Some DJs aren’t interactive with the guests, have poor hosting skills, bring out home audio equipment, and quote too low a price to get you hooked and then raise fees.


What kind of music do you play?
What kind of songs are available for Karaoke?

Starlite Entertainment provides a wide variety of music from all genres, but realizes that each event is unique. With that in mind, our music is tailored to your musical tastes and the audience that will be attending. You always have input on the music we provide.

For events that do not include cocktail and/or dinner hours we can play the music appropriate to the event.
For example, for a school dance, we will play age specific dance music from beginning to end!

Also, some events, such as weddings have specific types of music that everyone expects to hear, and we have all those favorites, too.
Any event, especially a wedding, will benefit from pre-planning a music lists. We want to make sure that the music and activities we provide blend into the even and do not over power it.






How do you dress for my event?

Depends on the event, of course, For most events our staff will wear a button down shirt and a pair of slacks or dress pants.
For weddings and other formal events we will wear a suit or tux.
We will determine this during our planning session(s). We will always ask.




Do we get to pick music ahead of time and will you play requests?

Yes. It is impossible for anyone to know everything there is to know about music and entertainment, and we are more than willing to listen to your ideas and input. We are available prior to your function to discuss your ideas and input. Special requests are not a problem and we are willing to listen to requests and play them whenever possible. The personality of our DJ and KJs, and their ability to interact with the crowd, is critical to a successful event. One of our biggest "compliments" is how approachable we are at an event.




Do I use professional equipment suitable for the job?

Absolutely. There is a huge difference between the audio equipment you have at home and the equipment a professional disc jockey uses. Many folks don't realize that high-end home audio equipment is not designed to project sound in large areas.

Professional audio equipment is built to go on the road day in and day out and project sound well into much larger spaces than home equipment. We use only professional equipment to insure the musical selections sound their best for you and your guest's enjoyment.

This applies to our standard Disk Jockey presentations and even more so for our Karaoke presentations, where good equipment can make the difference between an embarrassed guest and a good time.




Do we know the proper procedure and etiquette for your type of function.

Yes. We become involved with the planning of your special function and will be prepared to handle any announcements or special events (or activities) on the day of your event. Each and every event is unique so planning is critical to assure the results are exactly as you envisioned. We are prepared to serve as an "Emcee" or Master of Ceremonies in as little or much fashion as you would like.




Can you supply back up equipment or another Disc Jockey / Karaoke Jockey?

Yes. Even professional equipment can fail on occasion, and we have spare equipment available for critical components such as the computer (spare laptop) and amplifier (spare amplifier). Any other failures we can work around. Any number of circumstances may arise between the time you book a DJ and the date of the event. We have also have back up staff in case of illness or accident. How do your rates work? Do you have packages?
Each and every event is truly unique. I have basic rates for different types of events as do most Disc Jockeys. Our basic rates include planning, travel, set-up, performance and break-down. To keep rates as low as possible for you, I start with an affordable standard rate for basic services and then let you add the bells and whistles such as the light show, Karaoke, etc.

This allows you as much or as little customizing as you want to make your event memorable and special.
